Meet Belladonna: A Quirky Paradise

New to the Canterbury Christmas Market this year is the sisterly creation Belladonna that you’re sure to love…we know we do!

Donna and Jo describe themselves as professional, Welsh 50-somethings with a passion for ‘slightly “off” and “quirky” jewelry and homewares’. And while they’ve been making their wares for years, often gifting them to friends to family, they’ve only just decided to launch this passion as a business!

And it’s going well so far…

Not only are their creations incredibly popular with the local crowd, but The Globe in London has taken the bait, displaying Belladonna’s heart and ribs collection for Shakespeare fans in the gift shop.

We got the chance to catch up with Donna, whose enthusiasm for this business just oozes. She still works full time, even though you can find in the stall most days. She’s having the time of her life after being brave enough to start a new, creative business in her 50s. You go, Donna!

They’re always up for a good chat, and they’re SO fun to talk to, so be sure to spend a bit of extra time taking in the funky atmosphere of their stall in the Christmas Market.

All of their offerings are handmade, and the quality is superb. You can feel the attention, care, and detail that they put into their work.

If you’re looking for uniques gifts, look no further. And do keep in touch. They can be found at shopbelladonna.co.uk year ’round.
